Workshops
Always wanted to learn how to take off a glove, or improve your stage presence? Coco’s got you covered! Ideal for bachelorette parties, other celebrations, or as an opportunity to improve your on-stage self, Coco’s workshops are accessible, beginner-friendly, and flexible to suit your occasion.
The workshops listed below are currently available for booking. All workshops can be taught either as a 60 or 90 minute class, and are available in Dutch, English, or both. For more information about location, studio, or fees, please contact Coco through the contact form, email or Instagram DM.
Glove Tease
The most classic of teases and the perfect beginner for those not quite used to strip-tease. This workshop teaches you the function of gloves in burlesque, and most importantly: how to take them off in a fun, flirty way.
Gloves will be provided by Coco during the workshop.
A small part of the choreography will be on the knees, however, a standing option is available for those with sensitive knees.
Clothing: whatever makes you feel comfortable, but try to keep the hands and wrists as jewelry-free as possible. Hair untied is preferable, but not necessary.
Boa Tease
This classic burlesque workshop teaches you the basics of playing with a boa: how to reveal and conceal, how to show off your body using the tule, and you get the chance to play around on a choreography set to a classic burlesque song.
Boas will be provided by Coco during the workshop
Clothing: try to keep the neck (and ideally, wrists/arms) free of jewelry to avoid snagging on the boas. It can be convenient to have long hair up in a ponytail or bun.
Stage Presence
Do you already have a little bit of stage experience, but are unsure how to feel like your best self on the stage? Then this workshop is perfect for you! You’ll learn how to prepare for a performance to be completely electric on stage, you’ll learn how to ensure you’re present while performing, how to find the right vibe for your act, and how to catch yourself if you do stumble a little bit.
Clothing: whatever you’re comfortable in (as long as the important bits are covered, of course!)
Private class
Is there anything in particular you’d like to focus on? A specific skill you would like to learn more about? Maybe you’d like an outside eye to take a look at what you’ve been working on, to gather some feedback? Feel free to contact Coco, and she´ll see how she can best support you.
